What this policy covers
Phoenixtech | Links is a publishing platform: every page you build can be visited by anyone with the URL. That comes with a set of rules about the content you publish and the way you use the service. This policy applies to every account, including paid accounts and accounts in early access.
This policy supplements the Terms of Service. If you violate either, we can act under §10 of the terms.
What is allowed
The service is for personal, professional, and small-business use: link in bio, portfolio, contact card, project hub, micro-site for a podcast or release, and so on. If your usage looks like that, you're fine.
What is not allowed
The following content and behaviour will get an account suspended:
Illegal content and activity
- Anything illegal under Greek, EU, or applicable local law.
- Child sexual abuse material (CSAM). We report this to the relevant authorities (NCMEC and Greek law enforcement) without prior notice and without exception.
- Promotion of terrorism or organised crime.
- Sale or facilitation of illegal goods or services (drugs, firearms, stolen credentials, counterfeit goods).
- Sanctions evasion.
Intellectual property violations
- Posting copyrighted material you don't own and don't have a licence for. We respond to good-faith DMCA-style takedown requests at [email protected].
- Trademark infringement — including impersonating another brand or company's identity.
Fraud, malware, and abuse of the system
- Phishing — posing as another service, person, or company to harvest credentials, payment info, or personal data.
- Distributing malware, ransomware, browser-hijacking redirects, or link-shortener chains intended to disguise a malicious destination.
- Scams — fake giveaways, get-rich-quick schemes, romance scams, crypto pump-and-dump.
- Attempting to break, overload, or reverse-engineer the service. Scraping, automated mass account creation, and credential-stuffing are not allowed.
- Any kind of payment fraud or chargeback abuse — including buying Pro with a stolen card or repeatedly disputing legitimate charges. This results in immediate, permanent termination.
Harm to other people
- Harassment, hate speech, or content targeting an individual or group based on race, ethnicity, religion, nationality, sexual orientation, gender identity, disability, or another protected characteristic.
- Threats of violence, incitement, doxxing, or sharing personal information of others without consent.
- Non-consensual intimate imagery, including deepfakes.
- Impersonating another real person.
Restricted industries
Because we use Paddle as our merchant of record (effective once Pro launches), we cannot host accounts whose primary use overlaps with Paddle's restricted industries — including but not limited to: gambling and gaming-of-chance, weapons, regulated pharmaceuticals, adult content, and "high-risk financial" instruments. The full list is maintained by Paddle and we follow whichever rule is stricter.
How we enforce this
When a credible report or our own monitoring suggests a violation, we'll do one or more of the following depending on severity:
- Reach out — for minor or unclear cases (e.g. a misuse-of-IP complaint), we contact you and give a window to resolve the issue.
- Take down specific content while keeping your account active — for example, removing one block that infringes copyright.
- Suspend the account — your public page becomes unreachable; you keep access to the dashboard to dispute the decision.
- Terminate the account permanently — for illegal-content violations, repeat offences, or where there's no good-faith remedy. Where required by law (e.g. CSAM), we report to authorities and preserve evidence.
We don't issue warnings before terminating in cases of CSAM, imminent harm to a person, or active payment fraud.
Appeals
If we suspend or terminate your account and you think we got it wrong, email [email protected] with the subject prefix [Appeal] and a short explanation. We respond within 5 business days. We can reinstate, uphold the decision, or request more information.
For terminations under EU consumer or content-removal law (DSA, DMCA-equivalent), we follow the appeal procedures those laws require.
Reporting violations
If you've come across a public Phoenixtech | Links page that violates this policy:
- Email [email protected] with the subject prefix
[Abuse]. - Include the page URL.
- Briefly describe what's wrong with it.
- For copyright complaints, include the rights-holder name and evidence of the underlying work (link or copy).
We acknowledge reports within 1–2 business days and act within 5 business days, faster for serious cases.
Changes to this policy
As the service grows we'll add, refine, or remove items here. Material changes are communicated by email to registered users at least 14 days before they take effect.
